Job Requirements

  • Ability to follow recipe and instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals
  • knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods such as grilling, baking, boiling
  • ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • ability to work as a team
  • effective communication skills
  • Food Handler Certification required
  • Must be able to pass WSP background check
  • successfully pass drug and TB testing

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • AA Culinary degree preferred
  • minimum 1 year experience in a commercial or catering kitchen
  • knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods including grilling, baking, and boiling
  • experience using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work as a team

Job Duties

  • Preparing food in accordance with recipes
  • providing support for special meals as directed by kitchen leadership
  • preparing ingredients such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • cooking food using kitchen pots, pans, utensils, or grillers
  • checking food temperature and stirring or turning food while cooking
  • maintaining a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
  • ensuring proper storage of food and other kitchen items
