Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of culinary experience
  • Ability to work full or part-time with varied schedule including nights and weekends
  • Ability to follow safety procedures including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Physical capability to perform kitchen duties
  • Willingness to attend safety and training meetings
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Compliance with federal, state, and corporate standards
  • Willingness to work in an educational facility

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of culinary experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Basic record-keeping skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensures food quality and temperature
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures and maintains records during service periods
  • Cleans kitchen and stores or discards excess food following safe handling procedures
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and storerooms
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment
  • Assists in production planning, ordering, receiving of food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs and follows safety and company procedures
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
  • Ensures proper food presentation, portion control, and HACCP compliance
  • Demonstrates personal commitment to safety
  • Performs other assigned duties
