Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of relevant cooking experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Prior experience cooking or kitchen experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility a plus
- Experience with safety procedures as typical in a cafeteria or food service environment

Job Duties
- Refers to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties and completes opening and closing checklists daily
- Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Safely uses a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
- Operates a variety of equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
- Complies consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, recipes, policies, and procedures
- Handles, stores, labels, and rotates all products properly in accordance with state laws
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth serving of food
- Understands menu items and is responsible for prepping ingredients
- Multitasks in a high-volume kitchen
- Handles hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
- Performs physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Performs other related duties as assigned
