Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating kitchen equipment
  • Check freshness of food and ingredients by monitoring quality and rotating stock
  • Monitor, cook and prepare foods ensuring sufficient cooking through tasting and thermometer use
  • Prepare stations according to company guidelines
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam various foods including meats, fish, and vegetables
  • Season, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients following recipes and supervisor guidance
  • Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables for preparation
  • Carve, trim and prepare meats and seafood for service
  • Bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries as needed
  • Clean cooking equipment including pots, pans, dishes, and utensils
  • Maintain records of food usage and assist with inventory management
  • Follow food specification amounts and assist in forecasting preparation needs
  • Serve food to customers timely
  • Support culinary staff at multiple stations as directed
  • Communicate equipment and supply needs to supervisor
  • Adhere to company safety, food handling, sanitation, uniform, and productivity standards
  • Provide excellent customer service including greeting and thanking customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
