Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in cooking or line cooking preferred
  • Ability to work 10:30 am - 7:00 pm including every other weekend and holidays
  • Understanding of state and federal food safety regulations
  • Compatibility with faith-based organizational values
  • Good communication skills in English

Job Qualifications

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations, including food service operations strongly desired
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious, and palatable meals consistent with regulations and established policies
  • Follow state and federal food-handling regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent dining experiences
  • Monitor food quality and safety throughout preparation and service
  • Adapt menus as needed to meet dietary requirements
