Job Requirements
- One year job related experience including food preparation in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Maintain CPR certificate and first aid certificate
- Maintain ServSafe Manager certificate
- Maintain local health department food handler card
- Ability to comply with occupational health and safety regulations
- Ability to perform assigned duties including cooking, cleaning, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to participate in ongoing training and re-education
- Ability to pass employment conditions including drug screening and health tests.
Job Qualifications
- One year job related experience including food preparation in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment

- Prior culinary apprenticeship or training is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Job Duties
- Ensure high standards for food taste and quality are upheld at all times
- Prepare and serve meals in a timely manner and in accordance with established standardized recipes and menus
- Utilize production sheets to accurately record food production quantities and cooking, holding, and cooling temperatures
- Prepare required dietary modifications as ordered
- Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
- Stock, rotate, date, and store product according to food safety standards and regulations
- Maintain clean and organized kitchen, storage, and work areas
- Complete assigned cleaning duties and ensure accuracy of daily and weekly cleaning logs
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and report any issues promptly
- Maintain all cooking equipment in safe and working order and report any issues promptly
- Comply with occupational health and safety requirements and risk management programs at all times
- Perform dishwashing tasks to properly wash and sanitize all dishes and cookware
- Operate dish machines according to manufacturer instructions
- Perform light janitorial duties including sweeping work areas, sanitizing production areas, and emptying trash
- Clean assigned kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, fryers, microwaves, mixers, slicers, refrigerators, and freezers
- Assist with service in the dining areas as needed
- Participate and commit to working toward team goals
- Demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- Commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
- Contribute to engagement programs for residents and team members
- Attend regular team and community meetings
- Maintain compliance in required trainings and certifications
- Perform other duties as assigned by community leadership.
