Job Requirements
- Culinary background with at least one year of experience
- Availability to work full-time or part-time schedules, including weekends and rotating shifts
- Ability to comply with company safety and sanitation standards

- Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
- Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience working in a kitchen environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas
- Ability to follow safety protocols and company policies
- Ability to handle physical demands of job including lifting and standing for long periods
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at correct temperature and attractive, tastes all prepared food items
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Commits to personal and others' safety, abiding by company policies including use of protective gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
- Performs other duties as assigned
