Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least one year of relevant cooking experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Prior experience cooking or kitchen experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility a plus
- Experience with safety procedures as typical in a cafeteria or food service environment

Job Duties
- Refers to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties and completes opening and closing checklists daily
- Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Safely uses a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
- Must be comfortable using and operating a variety of equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc
- Knows and complies consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, recipes, policies, and procedures
- Handles, stores, labels, and rotates all products properly and in accordance with applicable state laws
- Follow assigned instructions to properly stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth serving of food
- Clear understanding of menu items
- Understand and responsible for prepping ingredients
- Strong grasp on various cooking methods, food items, equipment, etc
- Be able to multitask in a high-volume kitchen
- Be able to handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
- This role includes physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
- Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
