Job Requirements

  • Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel
  • Ensure the kitchen remains well-stocked at all times
  • Receive food and beverage orders as needed
  • Follow provided brand and IHM recipes when cooking food to serve guests
  • Prepare and plate all food items on the menu
  • Use hot food preparation machines such as ovens, stoves, and microwaves to cook or heat food
  • Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and floors after each service

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items
  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Basic knowledge of how to operate all food and beverage equipment
