Job Requirements
- Ability to work in remote locations in Alaska
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Physical dexterity and various vision abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to work approximately 10 hours per day for 6 days a week
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to complete required food safety and alcohol service training
Job Qualifications
- Prior cooking experience in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills
- Customer service experience
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain
Job Duties
- Execute the menu in a timely and efficient manner based on daily guest numbers and needs
- Assist in food preparation, baking, stocking, cleaning, and other assigned tasks
- Operate and maintain a wide array of kitchen equipment and tools
- Support meal services primarily in the first half of the day
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Manage time efficiently to meet scheduled meal service deadlines
- Provide excellent customer service to guests
