Job Requirements

  • Ability to work in remote locations in Alaska
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Physical dexterity and various vision abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Willingness to work approximately 10 hours per day for 6 days a week
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to complete required food safety and alcohol service training

Job Qualifications

  • Prior cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Food safety certification or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • Execute the menu in a timely and efficient manner based on daily guest numbers and needs
  • Assist in food preparation, baking, stocking, cleaning, and other assigned tasks
  • Operate and maintain a wide array of kitchen equipment and tools
  • Support meal services primarily in the first half of the day
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Manage time efficiently to meet scheduled meal service deadlines
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests
