Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of two years as a cook in a high-volume full-service restaurant or associate's degree in culinary arts
- Must be able to pass the written and practical test given by the Executive Chef
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions accurately
- Must have thorough knowledge of all cooking styles
- Must maintain excellent customer service orientation
- Ability to stand 100% of the shift
- Frequent lifting up to 30 pounds
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Associate's degree in culinary arts preferred
- Minimum of two years as a cook in a high-volume full-service restaurant or culinary arts degree
- Must be able to pass the written and practical test given by the Executive Chef
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions accurately
- Must have thorough knowledge of all cooking styles
- Excellent customer service orientation skills
- Current Serve-Safe certification preferred
Job Duties
- Review menus and production sheets to determine type and quantities of meats, vegetables, starches, and soups to be prepared
- Bake, roast, broil, sauté, and steam meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, and other foods in a timely manner
- Slice or portion meats, fish, and poultry to correct or ordered weight
- Facilitate the production of meals on the tray line
- Maintain the cooking area in a clean, neat, and orderly manner
- Adhere to all regulatory agency requirements
- Attend all in-service education and meetings as directed
- Demonstrate and actively promote understanding and commitment to the organization’s mission and values
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable laws and organizational policies to ensure adherence
- Support and conduct oneself consistent with customer service expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist associates when needed to keep operations running smoothly
