Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation or culinary services
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and batch cooking methods accurately
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • physical ability to stand and walk for 100 percent of the time
  • ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
  • adherence to uniform and personal hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes and enforce the batch cooking method
  • ensure the quality and quantity of food throughout service periods using production sheets
  • maintain proper line presentation including use of appropriate pans and garnishes
  • keep food at proper serving temperatures as per recipes and management directives
  • communicate effectively with line servers and management regarding food items and needs
  • complete daily production sheets accurately
  • properly store and date all food items
  • follow HACCP guidelines for leftovers
  • perform cleaning duties following the provided schedule and clean as you go techniques
  • maintain personal hygiene and adhere to uniform dress code
  • use Smile Plus hospitality imperatives when interacting with team members and guests
  • assist fellow team members whenever possible
  • perform additional duties assigned by management
