Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant cooking or food preparation experience preferred
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, and mixers
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety protocols
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Willingness to work full-time in Goshen, IN
  • Must comply with company’s uniform and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Physical ability to meet job demands including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds

Job Duties

  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating kitchen equipment
  • Check freshness of food and ingredients by tracking stock and following labeling and dating procedures
  • Monitor, cook, and prepare foods to determine doneness using tasting, smelling, or food thermometers
  • Prepare stations according to company guidelines
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
  • Season, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables for preparation
  • Carve and trim meats and seafood for service
  • May bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries
  • May wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils
  • Maintain records of food usage
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Follow food specification amounts and assist with preparation forecasting
  • Serve food to customers in a timely manner
  • Support culinary staff at various stations as needed
  • Communicate kitchen equipment and supply needs with supervisor
  • Adhere to company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity
  • Provide excellent customer service by being attentive and approachable
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
