Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year kitchen experience in a busy restaurant or fast-casual environment
- Ability to follow recipes and portion control standards accurately
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year kitchen experience in a high-volume or fast-casual setting
- Skilled in prep, cooking and executing recipes with consistency
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
- Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, etc.
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
- Close the kitchen properly and follow closing checklists
- Assist others in closing the kitchen and attend all team meetings and training
- Perform other duties such as dishwashing and bussing as assigned
