Job Requirements

  • Training for Alcohol Professionals (TAP card)
  • ServSafe Food Handlers certification
  • Ability to work in remote Alaska locations
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to stand for long periods and perform tasks involving stooping, kneeling, and walking
  • Dexterity and good vision

Job Qualifications

  • Prior cooking experience in a similar environment
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety procedures
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good time management abilities
  • Customer service experience

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals efficiently according to daily guest numbers and menu requirements
  • Assist in other food preparation tasks including baking and stocking
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
  • Manage time effectively to meet meal service schedules
  • Provide excellent customer service as part of the culinary team
