Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume, casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist and stand for normal job functions
  • Frequently immerse hands in water and chemical solutions
  • Frequently work with sharp knives, utensils and hot plates
  • Frequently work in hot environment

Job Qualifications

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume, casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Food knowledge pertaining to soups, saute, broiler, fry and pantry
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Comfortable conversing with customers

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other food and beverage products
  • Communicate ticket times and potential issues to manager on duty and servers
  • Provide the highest quality service to customers and associates
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety, sanitation practices and comply with HACCP standards
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment
  • Measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate and check temperature of products
