Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • At least two years of experience with food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety sanitation, and menu preparation
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels correctly
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly
  • May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels correctly
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly
  • Valid First Aid Certification may be required
  • Experience working in the senior care industry is a plus

Job Duties

  • Provide and prepare appealing, nutritious, heart-healthy, tasteful and fresh meals for residents, prospective residents, families and guests
  • Follow recipes, menus, and food labels accurately
  • Ensure kitchen safety sanitation standards are maintained
  • Assist with food purchasing and inventory management
  • Collaborate with the Director of Dining Services and team members
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and effective teamwork with all people, particularly the elderly
