Job Requirements

  • High school education desired
  • minimum of 6 months previous experience in back-of-house foodservice position preferred
  • ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations
  • basic math skills
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift
  • ability to complete required pre-employment food service training
  • manual dexterity sufficient to chop mix blend and whip a variety of foods and liquids
  • ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
  • frequent reaching twisting bending squatting
  • pushing and pulling occasionally
  • ability to adhere to health codes and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school education desired
  • participation or enrollment in culinary program a plus
  • minimum of 6 months previous experience in back-of-house foodservice position preferred
  • ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations

Job Duties

  • Prepare measure and portion all food items in a timely manner
  • comply with all quality standards department rules policies and procedures
  • utilize and set up kitchen equipment properly including knives slicers whips pots pans warmers steamers grills and ovens
  • ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly to maintain freshness and quality
  • package all products to proper specifications
  • perform opening closing and side work duties as instructed and according to guidelines
  • keep workstation and equipment clean organized sanitized and sufficiently stocked
  • follow and uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations
  • use waste control guidelines and record all waste on spoilage sheet
  • perform other duties assigned
