experience in quantity food service setting
ability to prepare nutritious meals
physical ability to stand walk bend and lift objects up to 40 lbs
manual dexterity to safely handle kitchen tools
ability to work with limited supervision
attention to sanitation and safety
detailed resume demonstrating relevant skills and experience

Job Qualifications

experience in quantity food service such as restaurant military nursing/residential home
advanced culinary knowledge and judgment
ability to work independently
knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
leadership skills to coordinate kitchen staff
ability to handle food preparation for special diets
good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination

Job Duties

prepare nutritious high quality meals for veterans
cook meats poultry fish shellfish and vegetables
make soups gravies sauces desserts and other foods
organize and coordinate work of lower grade cooks
maintain sanitation and safety in food preparation
operate kitchen equipment safely
follow diet and recipe specifications
