- Must possess at minimum a high School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have at least 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility
- Food handler's permit required
- Must be able to speak, understand, and write fluently in English
- Reliable transportation required

Job Duties
- Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu while utilizing standardized recipes
- Ensure that food prepared is of proper quantity and in accordance with established time schedules
- Utilize correct portion control utensils during the preparation and duration of food service to ensure proper quantity of food is prepared
- Check and maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service and record those temperatures according to policy
- Ensure that an adequate supply of food and supplies are available at all times and report inadequate stock levels to the supervisor in a timely manner
