- Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or cooking role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

- Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating equipment
- Check freshness of food and ingredients by tracking and rotating stock and following labeling procedures
- Monitor, cook, and prepare foods to assess doneness using taste, smell, and food thermometers
- Prepare stations according to company guidelines
- Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- Season, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables
- Carve, trim, and prepare meats and seafood
- Bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries as needed
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils
- Compile and maintain records of food usage
- Assist with inventory management
- Follow food specifications and assist in forecasting preparation needs
- Prepare and serve food to customers in a timely manner
- Support culinary staff at various stations
- Communicate equipment and supply needs to supervisors
- Adhere to and promote safety, sanitation, uniform, and productivity standards
- Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, approachable, and courteous
- Perform additional duties as assigned
