Job Requirements

Minimum lifting and pulling of 50 pounds
pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity
standing for long periods of time
understands the overall functions and machinery in a kitchen
must be flexible with schedule and adjust to business needs of the hotel

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
experience working in a kitchen or food preparation environment preferred
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
ability to follow recipes accurately
good communication skills
ability to supervise and assist team members
flexibility to work weekends and holidays

Job Duties

Maintain health and sanitation standards
cover label and date all food products
open kitchen and close kitchen in absence of supervisors
adhere to all prepared written recipes for all menu items including breakfast, room service, Grab and Go, and dinner menus
report out of stock items to the supervisor
prepare for the next shift, and ensure there is inventory
help set-up restaurant and employee cafeteria buffet
supervise and assist dishwashers and pantry personnel
perform the duties of the prep list schedule
prepare all dressings and cold sauces
assist with banquet preparation, as needed
