Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months of prior experience in a food service department preferred
  • ability to obtain food handlers permit as required by state
  • must have compassion and desire to work with elderly
  • effective team player and individual worker
  • strong communication skills
  • meet health and background check requirements

Job Duties

  • Order food supplies and manage inventory
  • prepare meals in a nutritious and attractive manner
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen
  • ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used and maintained
  • provide excellent customer service to residents and staff
  • assist in training new kitchen staff
  • adhere to all health and safety regulations
