Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience in food services
  • Current and valid Food Protection Manager Certification or equivalent
  • Ability to perform First Aid or CPR
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid Arizona Driver License and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or ability to apply within 7 days
  • Pass background check and TB test

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED or equivalent education
  • Two years of experience in a medium to large food services institution
  • A bachelor's degree in a nutrition related field is preferred
  • Current and valid Food Protection Manager Certification or equivalent certification
  • Ability to perform First Aid or CPR as necessary and appropriate
  • Knowledge in use of Electronic Health Records such as NextGen is a plus
  • Experience working with diverse populations preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess valid and current Arizona Driver License and satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must have valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or ability to apply within 7 working days
  • Must pass background check TB test and other pre-employment screenings

Job Duties

  • Directs food and kitchen related services
  • Implements standards policies and procedures governing the food services
  • Manages and trains staff members and behavioral health recipients in meal preparation including safety health and sanitation regulations
  • Oversees menu planning and meal preparation
  • Performs kitchen inspections and provides recommendations to program leadership
  • Ensures site compliance of safety health and sanitation requirements
  • Purchases receives and stocks supplies and monitors inventory
  • Facilitates non-therapeutic groups related to independent living skills training including nutritional education food preparation and budgeting
  • Establishes and maintains therapeutic working relationships with behavioral health recipients providing feedback to clinical teams
  • Coordinates communication and collaborates with other organizational components and outside agencies related to food and kitchen services
  • Participates in clinical meetings trainings and required activities
