Job Requirements

  • Sanitation certificate required
  • Ability to follow sanitation and safety guidelines
  • Ability to use cooking equipment accurately and efficiently
  • Knowledge of basic diet
  • Ability to adhere to department food portioning and preparation standards
  • Ability to document production sheets and HACCP accurately
  • Ability to work part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
  • Strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy

Job Duties

  • Follows sanitation guidelines
  • Follows recipes and preparation instructions
  • Accurately and efficiently uses cooking equipment
  • Knowledgeable of basic diet
  • Properly portions all food and ingredients per department standards
  • Prepares food to accurate consistency per diet requirements
  • Preps food items for current use and next day
  • Follows production sheets and records all related HACCP documentation
  • Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
  • Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct
