This position is a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) role assigned to Club operations at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Wright-Patt AFB). As part of the military community support system, the club plays a vital role in providing recreational and dining services to active military members, their families, and authorized patrons. Job Requirements
- Some experience in cooking and food preparation
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene guidelines
- Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Continuous standing, walking, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending
- Ability to complete pre-employment physical
- Ability to pass background check (T1)
- Must obtain Food Handler's Certificate or complete training
- No education substitution for experience
- Eligibility proof required by closing date
Job Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation and presentation in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar establishment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Knowledge of food characteristics and seasoning
- Ability to safely operate and clean food service equipment
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Completion of food handler's training and certification
Job Duties
- Prepare food items following established methods and procedures
- Operate and clean food service equipment
- Follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds frequently
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen area
- Perform basic arithmetic related to food preparation
- Season foods and determine doneness
