This position is a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) role assigned to Club operations at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Wright-Patt AFB). As part of the military community support system, the club plays a vital role in providing recreational and dining services to active military members, their families, and authorized patrons. Job Requirements

  • Some experience in cooking and food preparation
  • Ability to follow safety and hygiene guidelines
  • Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Continuous standing, walking, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending
  • Ability to complete pre-employment physical
  • Ability to pass background check (T1)
  • Must obtain Food Handler's Certificate or complete training
  • No education substitution for experience
  • Eligibility proof required by closing date

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in food preparation and presentation in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar establishment
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of food characteristics and seasoning
  • Ability to safely operate and clean food service equipment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Completion of food handler's training and certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items following established methods and procedures
  • Operate and clean food service equipment
  • Follow oral and written instructions accurately
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds frequently
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen area
  • Perform basic arithmetic related to food preparation
