Job Requirements
- Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent is required
- must be able to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday is a must)
- experience with seniors and cognitively impaired seniors (Alzheimer's or Dementia) is preferred
- prior cooking experience in healthcare or non-fast food restaurant settings
- approved criminal background check, drug screen, and TB skin test is required and provided by Dominion
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- culinary school attendance or certifications preferred
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification required
- proven experience as a cook in a senior living facility, healthcare setting, or restaurant environment
- strong culinary skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Excellence in service
- menu development in collaboration with the Head Chef
- adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations including HACCP
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
- adapt menus to meet specific dietary needs
- assist in inventory management and kitchen supply organization
