Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating kitchen equipment
- Check freshness of food and rotate stock according to labeling and dating procedures
- Monitor and determine food doneness using tasting, smelling, or food thermometers
- Prepare food stations according to company guidelines
- Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- Season, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients following recipes under supervision
