Job Requirements

  • must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs
  • must be able to bend, stoop, reach, wipe, lift and grasp
  • must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in a confined work area
  • must be able to work inside and outside the restaurant
  • must be able to work with all Denny's menu products
  • must be able to read tickets, recipes, and product specifications
  • must be able to hear well in a loud environment
  • must meet state, county, or municipal food handling regulations
  • must be able to work with potentially hazardous chemicals
  • must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer areas
  • must be able to pass all required tests and training
  • must be able to work flexible schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • must be 18 years old or older
  • possess basic math skills including understanding of units of measure
  • have excellent guest service skills
  • be dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions
  • have reasonable ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
  • place a value on diversity and show respect for others

Job Duties

  • prepare food to set recipes following brand standards
  • ensure proper food temperature and presentation
  • honor guest requests for special orders
  • clean, complete side-work, and organize supplies
  • monitor waste and food cost controls
  • assist other team members willingly
  • provide total guest satisfaction
