  • basic knife skills
  • ability to operate multiple food service equipment
  • knowledge of food safety
  • customer service skills
  • prior food handling or grill cook experience preferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • ability to read English to follow recipes, read menus and meal tickets
  • ability to speak proficient English
  • must have basic knife skills
  • ability to operate food service equipment including grill, fryer, slicer, ovens, stovetop, microwave, robot coupe, steamer, kettles, Bain Marie, mixers, tilt skillet, and steamtables
  • strong customer service skills
  • food safety knowledge
  • prior food handling or grill cook experience preferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Following recipes
  • prepping, cooking, and serving foods for a fast-paced Patient Cook-to-Order Room Service line
  • prepping and cooking foods for the cafeteria
  • cleaning equipment and work areas
  • adhering to strict food safety guidelines
  • maintaining basic knife skills and operating various food service equipment
  • providing strong customer service while preparing and serving food
