Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking
strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation
reliable transportation to and from the facility
ability to perform physical work including lifting and standing for long periods
strong team player with excellent communication and customer service skills
capable of managing the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director

Job Duties

prepare cook and serve a variety of foods for residents ensuring high-quality meals
bake rolls cookies cakes and pies following recipes and dietary specifications
work on the tray line during meal service to ensure residents' meals are served efficiently and accurately
maintain a clean kitchen including hand washing and sanitizing pots and pans
clean kitchen areas and perform related tasks as needed
manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director
