Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of food production experience or graduation from a recognized culinary school
State of California Food Handler Certification or must obtain within three months of hire
Ability to read, write and be understood in English
Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations

Experience in training and developing culinary and production staff preferred
Knowledge of HACCP standards preferred

Job Duties

Prepare food for Patient Food Services, Café
, coffee shops and conference center events
Establish and monitor food quality standards to ensure consistency and highest quality
Monitor food temperature and safety standards
Solve problems related to culinary services before, during and after meal periods
Assist with safety and sanitation maintenance within the department
