Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum one year food service cooking experience in a healthcare facility, institution, or full service restaurant
  • Ability to work from weekly menus and production sheets
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Ability to maintain sanitary work areas and equipment
  • Follow HACCP and OSHA standards
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Initiative and sound judgment

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Vocational training in quantity food preparation and sanitation preferred
  • Minimum of one year’s food service cooking experience in a healthcare facility, institution, or full-service restaurant
  • Ability to follow directions and perform repetitive tasks
  • Friendly, cordial, reliable, and conscientious with good judgment
  • Ability to organize production schedules efficiently to meet operational demands

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items according to weekly menus and production sheets using approved recipes
  • Observe routine work schedules and follow departmental procedures
  • Maintain high quality and properly prepared foods using approved recipes
  • Follow proper food handling techniques
  • Maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils in a sanitary manner
  • Follow HACCP and OSHA standards in daily tasks
  • Support department policies, procedures, objectives, and goals
