Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to stand and move frequently
  • Ability to follow hygiene and sanitation SOPs
  • Willingness to participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Successful completion of background check, drug screening, physical exam, and employment verification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to two years cooking experience in a high-volume food service setting
  • ServSafe certification preferred but not required
  • Commitment to cultural competency and inclusivity
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals and meal components accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned workstation
  • Follow safe food handling practices and HACCP documentation
  • Adhere to standard formulations and daily production sheets
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Report loss, damage, or unsafe products
  • Participate in general kitchen sanitation
  • Check materials for correct quantities before production
  • Minimize material waste throughout production
  • Inspect ingredients for quality and food safety
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
  • Document production process for ODA and HACCP compliance
  • Evaluate food items for appearance, smell, and taste
  • Package food items accurately with proper labeling
  • Move finished meal components to storage or order carts
  • Assist other stations as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
