Job Requirements
- high school diploma or g.e.d
- one year experience cooking food for large groups or equivalent combination of training and experience
- valid state driver's license
- food manager's certificate or ability to obtain within established timeframe
- ability to meet attendance requirements
- ability to read, write, and communicate in English effectively
- physical ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, squatting, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds
- work in varying kitchen temperatures
- willingness to uphold the religious mission of The Salvation Army

Job Duties
- cook and serve nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules
- ensure all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner
- clean kitchen facilities, equipment and appliances
- maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner
- perform physical activities such as walking, standing, stooping, squatting, climbing and bending
- follow food safety and hygiene protocols
- assist with meal preparation for large groups
