Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year of cooking experience including some short order and quantity cooking
- Must possess Serv-Safe certification or be willing to obtain upon hire
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation
- Knowledge of special dietary needs of residents and required meal preparation techniques
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team and display team behaviors
- Ability to effectively deal with conflict or customer complaints
- Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Follows all food safety and equipment safety procedures
- Knowledge of and compliance with community quality standards and requirements
- Ability to short order cook
- Must be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff
- Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures and high quality food preparation and presentation
- Order, receive, and rotate stock in conjunction with the Food Service Director
- Read and follow recipes to ensure consistency of the product
- Prepare and serve food items for breakfast, lunch or dinner as assigned
- Assist with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations
- Perform other relevant duties as required or assigned by Supervisor
