Job Requirements
- Food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
- One or more years of experience in food production
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of safe food handling techniques and sanitation
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Willingness to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and move equipment, tolerate temperature extremes, and perform manual tasks
Job Qualifications
- Food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
- One or more years of experience as a line cook preferred
- Demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge and practice of safe food handling techniques
- Understanding of workflow management, prioritization, and deadlines
- Preferred ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Preferred ability to prepare food according to modified diets
- Preferred experience using commercial cooking equipment
Job Duties
- Prepares and cooks food according to recipes and instructions
- Serves customers and interacts in various food service venues including catering, retail, and patient care
- Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment
- Manages proper production quantities and product rotation
- Delivers patient meals and handles cashier and stocking duties as needed
- Uses automatic and manual ware-washing machines
- Supports large-scale food production and prepares specialty meals and catered items
