Job Requirements

  • Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience
  • Work experience in high volume, casual dining environment preferred
  • Knowledge of Soups, Saute, Broiler, Fry, and Pantry cooking methods
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, stand for job functions
  • Frequent use of hands in water and working with knives and hot plates
  • Work in hot environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume or casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices
  • Ability to follow recipes and product directions accurately
  • Strong communication skills to interact with management and customers
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform job duties in a hot kitchen environment
  • Ability to bend, twist, stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods by performing all station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg cooking
  • Communicate ticket times and potential issues to management and servers
  • Provide the highest quality service to customers and associates
  • Follow recipes and product directions for seasoning, cooking, tasting, and serving food
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and comply with HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment, measure ingredients, wash and prepare produce, stock and rotate products
