Job Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- If in recovery, a minimum of one year of sustained recovery with active participation in a 12-step program is required
- Two or more years of recovery preferred
- Personal, evident, and growing relationship with Christ

Job Duties
- Assist with planning and preparing meals while observing all food safety requirements for handling and food prep
- Assist with inspection of all donated food items to determine quality of food as required
- Communicate with Dining Services Manager regarding food that needs to be ordered as required
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with supervising shelter guests working in the kitchen and dining hall to ensure they adhere to cleanliness and safety best practices as required
- Assist with supervising shelter guests to ensure all cooking appliances, pots and pans, dishes, bowls, cups and utensils are cleaned and sanitized properly
- Utilize proper safety procedures including proper safety equipment and lifting techniques while performing assigned duties
