Job Duties

  • Cooks work in assigned areas such as meats, vegetables, bakery and salads
  • Speak and understand conversational English and read menus including measurements
  • Multi-task and work efficiently to maintain stock within assigned area
  • Read menus to prepare menu items accurately before opening
  • Visually observe and discard food, reporting discarded items to management
  • Keep assigned area clean and clutter free using restaurant cleaning supplies
  • Maintain master knowledge of food items and recipes
  • Assist with preparation and closing in all back of house areas as needed
  • Discard, restock and maintain food items when closing
  • Transition next shift cook on progress and set-ups
  • Prepare set-ups and maintain organized storage areas
  • Complete cleaning and operational checklists
  • Maintain attendance in accordance with employee handbook
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects
