Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • food handling certification preferred
  • ability to follow health and safety guidelines
  • strong work ethic and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
  • good time management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
  • knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers
  • assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • attends all scheduled team meetings and training and brings suggestions for improvements
  • performs other duties as assigned such as dishwashing and bussing
