Job Requirements

  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • minimum of one year’s food service cooking experience in a healthcare or institutional setting
  • ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • skilled in food preparation according to approved recipes
  • knowledge of HACCP and OSHA standards
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
  • friendly, cordial and reliable
  • good organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • vocational training in quantity food preparation and sanitation preferred
  • minimum of one year’s food service cooking experience in a healthcare facility, institution, or full-service restaurant under a qualified chef
  • ability to follow directions and prioritize tasks
  • friendly and reliable with good judgment
  • experience in food handling and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • prepare food items according to weekly menus and approved recipes
  • observe routine work schedules and departmental procedures
  • maintain sanitary work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • follow HACCP and OSHA standards in daily operations
  • organize production schedules to meet operational demands
  • promote good customer relations by providing quality products and responding promptly to requests
  • report daily assignments to the Production Supervisor
