Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of previous culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to work varying schedules including days, nights, and weekends
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks required in a kitchen setting
  • Compliance with company safety and hygiene policies
  • Willingness to attend in-service and safety meetings
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals using correct portioning, ensuring food is at correct temperature and visually appealing
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance issues and faulty equipment immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and management
  • Performs tasks safely and maintains a clean work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and follows HACCP standards
  • Shows personal commitment to safety
  • Adheres to company policies and safety procedures including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant footwear
