Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Food handlers card certification
  • Less than one year experience as cook
  • Less than one year experience in food service
  • Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts
  • Availability to work between 4 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Compliance with local health department regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare all hot foods for patient trayline, cafe, and functions including entrees, vegetables, starches, and bakery items
  • Ensure food is prepared in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Assist with menu planning and food preparation according to dietary needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient food service delivery
  • Monitor food inventory and report shortages or needs to management
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures regarding food service
