Job Requirements

  • Must be self-motivated and organized
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior
  • Proven cooking experience including as line chef or prep cook
  • Ability to walk stoop bend and stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Efficient multitasking and time management skills
  • Familiar with industry best practices

Job Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience including line chef or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of cooking methods ingredients equipment and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Knowledge and application of HACCP guidelines
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare food orders as they come in
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Prep food for use on next shift
  • Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Identify kitchen food needs and pull food from freezer to allow time for thawing
  • Notify Kitchen Leader of items needed before the item is completely out
