Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • prior on-the-job training and two years equivalent experience required
  • must be able to read, write and follow directions
  • must be able to bend, stoop, pull carts and lift at least 30 pounds easily
  • must be able to climb stairs and be able to use or operate proper equipment needed to clean
  • must be able to read and write in order to use schedule properly

Job Duties

  • prepare hot and cold food items for residents based on recipes provided
  • have knowledge about food safety standards
  • keep a clean, sanitary work area on a daily basis according to industry standards
  • consolidate and rotate produce in walk-in cooler daily
  • assess need and order accurately from vendors any food and produce needed for daily menu
  • become proficient and knowledgeable with task sheets
  • oversee sanitation of kitchen line breakdown and clean up
  • maintain clean and sanitary conditions and cleaning schedules according to state regulations and manufacturer protocols
  • attend required in-services or seminars as needed and required
  • substitute in other area kitchens and perform duties as needed
  • retain knowledge of Trezevant Manor's mission, vision and values
  • report to work on time as scheduled and outlined in the employee handbook
