Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking or grill experience required
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP guidelines
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions precisely
  • Basic skills in operating kitchen equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Willingness to attend safety and training meetings
  • Capability to maintain records related to food service and production

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, meets outlined standards, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from area worked
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains high cleanliness standards and stores or discards excess food accordingly
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat ensuring food and supplies are stored per standards
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering and receiving of food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents immediately to supervisor
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Adheres to company safety policies including the use of cut gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Demonstrates personal commitment to safety for self and others
