Job Requirements

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
  • demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • demonstrated ability to work independently and part of a team
  • demonstrated ability to utilize safe food handling techniques
  • understands workflow, prioritizes, and uses timelines
  • preferred ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • preferred knowledge of modified diet food preparation
  • preferred ability to utilize commercial cooking equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food
  • serve customers
  • follow recipes and instructions in food preparation
  • prepare bulk food items and large scale production
  • maintain organized and sanitary working environment
  • maintain proper quantities of production with appropriate product rotation
  • interact with customers in catering, retail, or patient care settings
  • deliver patient meals, cashier, stock, and operate ware-washing machines
