Job Requirements

  • experience in culinary production and delivery
  • past roles delivering high quality culinary service
  • experience serving seniors or vulnerable populations
  • culinary positions in healthcare, hospitality, or hotels
  • volunteer or work experience with vulnerable groups
  • internships or programs that enhanced culinary skills

Job Qualifications

  • at least 21 years of age
  • combination of education and experience in culinary arts
  • current negative TB test
  • knowledgeable or willing to learn regulatory standards for kitchen work
  • willingness to work in healthcare/assisted living environment
  • ability to pass criminal record/background check
  • good time management skills
  • ability to work independently with little oversight

Job Duties

  • implement food and beverage program for residents
  • engage with seniors individually and in groups
  • ensure kitchen safety and cleanliness
  • demonstrate creativity and innovation in cooking
  • train and mentor others in culinary techniques
  • adapt quickly to residents' needs and preferences
  • maintain compliance with food safety and infection control standards
