Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food preparation or culinary services preferred
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitary practices
- Ability to work full-time 40 hours per week
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment including ovens stoves dishwashers slicers coffee machines steamers mixers and knives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas such as equipment and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating ovens broilers grills roasters and other equipment
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality rotating stock and following food labeling and dating procedures
- Monitor cook and prepare foods to determine if they are sufficiently cooked using tasting smelling or food thermometers
- Prepare stations according to company guidelines including baking roasting broiling and steaming meats fish vegetables and other foods
- Season weigh measure and mix ingredients according to recipes with supervision using various kitchen utensils and equipment
- Provide excellent customer service including being attentive approachable greeting and thanking customers
