Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation or culinary services preferred
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitary practices
  • Ability to work full-time 40 hours per week
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or food service environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment including ovens stoves dishwashers slicers coffee machines steamers mixers and knives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds

Job Duties

  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas such as equipment and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating ovens broilers grills roasters and other equipment
  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality rotating stock and following food labeling and dating procedures
  • Monitor cook and prepare foods to determine if they are sufficiently cooked using tasting smelling or food thermometers
  • Prepare stations according to company guidelines including baking roasting broiling and steaming meats fish vegetables and other foods
  • Season weigh measure and mix ingredients according to recipes with supervision using various kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service including being attentive approachable greeting and thanking customers
